The weather forecast looks good for Sunday, so we plan to go ahead with the ILAS Harvest Fly-in. Breakfast is to be served from 11:00 – an earlier start then mentioned previously. The airfield is good condition.
PPR from Aidan Power at 087 676 5207 before departure.
The ILAS airifeld air/ground (callsign ILAS Radio) has officially changed to 123.755 MHz with 8.33kHz channel spacing. If your aircraft is not equipped with this, please discuss it with Aidan Power during the PPR call that is required before your departure.
Volunteer ground marshals will be very welcome, but as needs arise, Aidan may ask visiting ILAS members to step in to the role for short periods (say 30 mins). If he does ask, please be accommodating if you can at all.
The IAA has kindly supplied us with copies of the (current) Edition 13 of the 1:500,000 VFR Aeronautical Chart for distribution to pilot members free of charge. There will be copies available on Sunday at the Fly-in; we just needs details on the day (name, address, licence number) if you are claiming a copy for yourself and/or absent colleagues in a flying group (bring their details as well).
Safe flying both to and from the event, and please be extra vigilant for other aircraft as it may be a busy event. It could be quite a sunny day as well, so wear your sunscreen, etc.!
