    • Falköping Airport ESKG

A warm welcome to EAA Sweden Fly-In 2022 in Falköping at Falköping Airport, ESGK, the weekend of 3th – 5th June with Saturday the 4th of June as the main day.

Falbygden’s Aviation Club has been entrusted to host this event for EAA Sweden. Falbygdens Flygklubb is located at Falköping Airport and it is located just outside the city of Falköping. Falköping is located in the middle of Skaraborg, between the plateau mountains Ålleberg and Mösseberg, a village that has been breathing airplanes for decades.

During Friday afternoon and evening, there will be officials on site to welcome long-distance guests who wish to stay overnight until Saturday. The clubhouse will be open until 22:00, it is possible to buy BP Avgas 91UL and 100LL and passenger transport to various accommodations. In the clubhouse, breakfast will be served on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Notification that breakfast is desired is made in the secretariat or by text message to 0704-446472. There will also be officials on site on Sunday morning with the same service as on Friday afternoon/evening.

Aviatiors who arrives on Friday and who stays over until Saturday will be invited to supper in the clubhouse, 17:00-19:00!

Saturday, June 4th is the main day of this EAA meeting. We look forward to a traditional EAA Fly-In with many flying guests, an exhibition of aircraft and exhibitors showing their products, seminars, EAA information and a hangar party in the evening. Coffee and food will be served in the area throughout Saturday.

Falköping Airport, ESGK, is a uncontrolled airport. As you approach, you call on our frequency 123,350 MHz. Notam will be submitted for the event. As a pilot, you have an asphalt track and a grass track (eastern lane) to choose from. The runway headings are 04/22. The length of the asphalt track is 1300 meters and the grass track 1000 meters. An ancient monument is located at the southern end of the eastern grass track, this will be marked. Left turn to 22 and right turn to 04. The traffic pattern altitude is 1500ft MSL.

“Falköping’s motorstadion” will serve as an access point, coordinates are on the information map. From the entry point “Falköpings motorstadion” you go directly to the left base and final for landing asphalt track / grass track 22 or down wind, right base and final for landing asphalt track / grass track 04.

Keep an eye open for gliders and paragliders around Ålleberg east of the ESGK. Avoid overflight over the city of Falköping under 1500 feet. After landing, officials on quad bikes in yellow vests, “Follow Me”, will guide you to the parking lot or refueling, feel free to say on the radio what you want. As we hope for an accident-free weekend, our wish is that taxing takes place at low speed and with high attention.

Also keep in mind that there will be less flight-skilled people in the staging area. Frequency for Falköping Airport is 123,350 MHz. Also keep in mind that Ålleberg is only 4 kilometers east at 123,40 MHz.A warm welcome to EAA Sweden Fly-In 2022 in Falköping at Falköping Airport, ESGK, the weekend of 3th – 5th June with Saturday the 4th of June as the main day.

The FLYIN Saint YAN 2022 will take place on 17 and 18 June 2022

This gathering of enthusiasts, non-profit, offers the only air show held voluntarily by pilots and their aircraft, in France. In 2022, it will be a pure flyin, without presentation in flight.

Prestigious aircraft are gathered: turbines (HUNTER, SABRE, FOUGA, ..) mono or rare biplanes (T28, Cap 232, T6, Broussard ...) and exceptional patrols (Patrouille YAKO TEAM, PITS S2 / Cap, Broussard, etc.) ... but also aircraft that you will only see there ...

For 20 years, this gathering of 280 aircraft has become the favorite rendezvous of fans, those who love the noise and smell of engines, those who love picnics under the wing, those who like to meet other enthusiasts, friends and future friends.

For this 21st edition, surprises will be numerous and unexpected encounters: Rare aircraft, microlight, flying club aircraft, aerobatics .... Blériot XI, a Nanchang CJ-6A

Old books related to aviation, an aero flea market to exchange, sell or find, aero clothes to embroider at your registration ... but also the Troc'pit (bring your old stuff for sale or trade), and places to hydrate and feed.

    Moments of great conviviality

Book now your weekend: Friday 17, Saturday 18 June 2022... and book Sunday for the nearby PARAY Tail Tails.

Free but necessary registration (registration tab) modifiable and reversible at any time.

The "Third Tuesday" gatherings are organised independently of ILAS but are attended overwhelmingly by ILAS members. interested particularly in homebuilding aircraft or restoring old aircraft.  For this reason, ILAS lists and promotes the events to its members.

The events are run as an 'open house'  on the third Tuesday of each month.  They are very informal and, where there is a formal programme, it tends to focus on some aspect of  building/restoring/maintaining an aircraft rather than flying.

The initiator and organiser of the Third Tuesday events is Terry Coughlan and he can be contacted by email on terry@watermarkeng.ie
